National Parks of Taiwan

Metropolitan Taichung Park is currently booming with greenery as well as wonderful flowers. Since the park was established 6 year ago, the Taichung Metropolitan Park has provided with residents of the city with a favorable and quality area for them to promenade in the dawn and dusk as well as a place to hike for holiday leisure. At this season of blossoming flower in spring time, the Central Science Park Administration of the National Science Council of the Executive Yuan, Taichung County Administration, Taichung City Administration, Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Children’s Bureau of the Ministry of Interior, Taiwan Fund for Children and Families, Shei-Pa National Park, and Yushan National Park are invited to jointly sponsor the first jazz music festival at the Sundial Park of the park. Thus, it should render the afternoon and evening of the park a feast for romantic and leisurely jazz music.

For this jazz music festival, three major noted jazz bands of the country are invited, which are Dizzy Jazz Band, Taiwan Jazz Band, and Grand Drum Band. They will perform starting from 15:00 p.m. till 19:50 p.m. respectively with a series of famous repertoire. Besides, the assisting authorities of the events, such as Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Children’s Bureau of the Ministry of the Interior, Taiwan Fund for Children and Families, Shei-Pa National Park, Yushan National Park, and the Central Region Engineering Division of the Construction and Planning Agency,  will sponsor medical care service, and publicity regarding conservation and legal provisions on national park as well as government measures and policies. As of such, it should help the musical event to be more enlightening.

Limited voucher of coffee and snacks will be provided from 14:45 p.m. at the venue of the event, and those who participant can line up to collect them at the site of report. Besides, civil servant enrolled with the event who sign up before 15:00 p.m. can register with 5 hours of credit for life-long learning. During the event, there are 10 bicycles and other publicity gifts provided by the national parks and the Children’s Bureau of the Ministry of the Interior as prizes for lottery draw. The general public can collect their lottery ticket at the prize drawing service area on the day.
