“Frog Town” Concert in the Wild welcomes you with fresh tea and the surprising sighting of Formosan sika deer.

The Shuiwaku Community (frog town) is located in the Longpan Park area between Erruanbi Park and Fengcuisha in Kenting National Park. The residents are mainly farmers and fishermen. The name Shuiwaku, or frog holes, came from the noisy frog croaking from the two shallow ponds in the community. Construction of the Jiaer Expressway and massive private development destroyed the source of water, and the dried-out ponds became today's grassland; naturally, the frogs began to disappear. In 2009, the Kenting National Park Headquarters launched a program to develop ecotourism in Shuiwaku. The majority of the community residents are senior citizens, so it was impossible to bring conventional ecotourism development models to the community. Under a creative mode of thinking, the staff of the national park planned itineraries and set up a team of guides. The idea is to bring the senior citizens in the community to share their wisdom drawn from the land with visitors. The Concert in the Wild features the "Stars of the Wild" band formed by the senior community residents and a group of enthusiastic students. Kenting National Park Headquarters invites you to the concert in this jubilant town at the southernmost tip of the nation. Come and join us in a frenzy of local passion.
