This year’s Yangmingshan National Park Road Race, well-known in running circles in Taiwan, organized by Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters and implemented by the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association, will be held on July 12 at 7am. This year will be the 18th year the race has been held. The route is from Xiaoyoukeng Visitor Center car park to a turnaround point on Zhuzishan wind gap road and back and is 10.6 kilometers long. The route goes through a restricted military area that is opened specially for the race once a year. The scenery along the route is lovely, the air is fresh and people who take part are bound to be left with good memories.
Runners will be divided into 13 sections. Any healthy person who likes to run is welcome to register. Applicants will be accepted until June 26 (according to post mark). The entry fee is NT$300 per person. Runners who take the shuttle bus to and from the venue also have to pay NT$100) . The entry fee includes NT$1 million accident insurance cover and a commemorative T-shirt. Runners who finish before 9am will be awarded an attractive certificate.
