The Taroko National Park Headquarters invited four artists to co-organize the Linear Light - Wondrous Taroko, A Joint Exhibition of Chen Yu-Pin, Lu Ping-Heng, Tom Chuang, and Chou Hsi-An at the Taroko Visitor Center. The exhibition will be held from September 1 to October 30 at the special exhibition room (basement level) of the Visitor Center. 33 artworks will be on display, including inkwash paintings, oil paintings, and glazed ceramic works.
Curator Hsu Chui-Hwa said that even after multiple visits, the artists were still filled with excitement and awe each time when they came to Taroko. After experiencing its inspiring beauty, Chen Yu-Pin, Lu Ping-Heng, Tom Chuang, and Chou Hsi-An set off on field trips to sketch the scenery and record their feelings, in order to create a tribute to this stunning landscape and perfect paradise with the most genuine emotions. Their belief in light and virtue as the beauty of life is much like the definitiveness of light traveling in a straight line.
According to the Taroko National Park Headquarters, the joint exhibition features a wide variety of creative works and styles. All art enthusiasts are invited to come and explore the magnificent landscapes and diverse sceneries of Taroko National Park, and to experience the wonders of linear light.
