The most beautiful place can also be a dangerous place. Taroko National Park is consists of undeveloped natural spaces and may potentially be dangerous to visitors. To protect the safety of visitors and also the abundant ecological resources of the Shakadang River, according to National Park Law Article 13 the following water sports activities are restricted: swimming, diving and river trekking. The Taroko Headquarters wish to remind all domestic and foreign visitors to pay close attention to the safety of themselves and fellow travelers, and assist in following this friendly promise with the beautiful sceneries of Taroko.

Parking restriction to be enforced at the Shakadang Parking Lot in Taroko National Park

To accommodate the large influx of visitors to Taroko National Park during summer break, the Shakadang Parking Lot will enforce vehicular safety and parking restrictions, effective immediately. The Taroko National Park Police Corps will also step up its efforts to enforce National Park Regulations, divert traffic, preventing parking violations and other prohibited activities. It is expected that the combined efforts of the National Park Police will relieve the impact of traffic and tourist congestion in the Shakadang Parking Lot.
