Targeting middle and lower grade elementary students, Taroko National Park Headquarters published an illustrated book called “Secret Base at Taroko”. Inside the story, the Green Maiden will take Xiaolu, the child protagonist, to travel through time in order to comprehensively view the geological landscapes and the ecological system of Taroko National Park by passing through mountains and valleys and venturing at the Paleozoic ocean bed and marble canyons 200 million years ago.

Besides the story, there are also family introductory units in this illustrated book that will specially introduce the animals and plants that appear in the book. The illustrated is also enclosed with a storytelling CD, which is suitable for reading it together with your children or for the teacher to introduce this book to students at class.
