The suspension operation regarding the construction of Shanyue Suspension Bridge is about to take place. In order to ensure the safety of Provincial Highway No. 8 users, Taroko National Park Headquarters will construct traffic safety protection shields from the 178K+450 point to 178K+480 point of Provincial Highway No. 8 from Apr. 6th to 26th and traffic control will be implemented during the period of construction in order to ensure the safety of visitors and road occupants. Traffic control measures have been approved on the March road and traffic safety contact meetings of Hualien County on Mar. 21st. We ask citizens to cooperate and pay attention to safety.

The period of restriction is between Apr. 6th to 26th and during the construction hours of 08:00AM to 17:00PM, vehicles are allowed to pass for 10 minutes every hour (no restrictions will be implemented on holidays).
