2009 1st National Park Youth Camp─ Exploring Shei-pa National Park

To disseminate eco-protection concepts Shei-pa National Park Headquarters is holding the “2009 1st National Park Youth Camp”. The camp will be held on three occasions and the first camp will be held on August 4 at Wuling and with each group numbering 40 people. College students are invited to register. The activity is intended to nurture young people’s interest in the great outdoors, improve their communication skills, make them more independent, help them develop a love for nature and life and give them eco-protection knowledge.

The first day’s activities include “Planning a Camp”, “Hiking Supplies Lecture and  Purchase”, “Ecological Observation”, “Getting to Know Shei-pa National Park”, “Camp Teaching and Understanding the Environment”. The second day will feature a walk to Cika Cabin(七卡山莊), Kupo (Crying Slope哭坡) and on to the East Peak of Syue Mountain and then return to Cika Cabin.

Wuling has excellent scenery and a pristine natural environment with lush greenery and a river. Mandarin ducks* can often be seen flying overhead and butterflies** fill the air. Everyone is invited to get close to nature experience the natural beauty of Wuling.
