SNPH invites you to experience traditional Saisiyat Pas-ta’ay

Shei-Pa National Park has been the living area of the Atayal and Saisiyat peoples since ancient times. Shei-Pa National Park Headquarters (SNPH) thus signed on 28 November 2006 a partnership agreement with the Saisiyat people in Wufeng Township to help them develop the humanity and ecology industries and culture creative industry. To remember with gratitude the protection and enlightenment of "ta'ay", Saisiyat people follow the tradition to organize the biannual (smaller scale) and decadal (major) "pas-ta'ay" to pray for blessings, peace and harvest from "ta'ay". The SNPH co-organized the biannual "pas-ta'ay" again with local tribes to contribute to the sustainable development and cultural continuation of indigenous peoples. As one of the very important rituals in the Saisiyat tradition, "pas-ta'ay" is a cultural activity organized to worship the legendary "little black people"-ta'ay.
