National Parks of Taiwan

The 2014 International Symposium of Canopy Ecology Conservation Program was organized by the Shei-Pa National Park Headquartersand co-organized by the Forestry Research Institute and the ExperimentalForest, College of Bio-Resources and Agriculture, National Taiwan University(NTU). The symposium was held in the International Conference Room in B1 ofBuilding No.1, College of Management, NTU, and explored canopy ecology underthe guidance of renowned American pioneer in canopy research Dr. MargaretLowman, forest resource and pest expert at Oregon State University Dr. DavidShaw, expert of canopy walkway structurefrom Florida State Dr. Philip Wittman,arboreal beetle expert from Canada Dr. Wesley Hunting, Dr. MaklarinLakim,Mr.Fred Tuh, and bird expert AlimBiun from Malaysia’s Kinabalu National Park, anddomestic researchers Hsu Chia-Chun, Yang Man-Miao, and Yeh Wen-Pin.
