“2008 Kinmen  Charm- old houses and common shags” activity  begins

Kinmen National Park’s HQ’s “2008 Kinmen  Charm- old houses and common shags” activity began on November 6. First time visitors to Kinmen will be pleased they made the journey when they experience Kinmen’s peaceful countryside, the charm of the old houses and relaxed pace of life.

The park’s professional guides will introduce the cultural and natural sights of Kinmen to visitors, who will also have a chance to eat local delicacies. At night they can stay in a renovated traditional Kinmen house, experiencing the beauty of southern Fujian’s traditional architecture and the pleasure of eating in a lovely old house.  In addition, visitors can also take a leisurely tour of the alleys of Gunningtou village and cycle around Shuangli Lake by bicycle for a close-up experience of life in Kinmen.

Watching the common shags return to their roosts at dusk, seeing the birds silhouetted against the setting sun, you will sigh with wonder at nature’s beauty and want to linger. As the birds fly past in formation visitors will cry out in amazement. This is just one of the beautiful natural sights Kinmen has to offer.
