“Mt. Taiyu Battlefield Landscape Mountain Trail” is an important tourist attraction of Kinmen. The trail is dangerous as it is narrow, twists and turns, and has steep slopes. To protect the safety of mountain climbers, Kinmen National Park began controlling vehicles on the trail after gaining jurisdiction. Large passenger vehicles and scooters are prohibited, and other vehicles may not enter without permission; only vehicles on official duty, from the military, or have business of private organizations may pass through after gaining permission. Fire trucks, ambulances, police cars and garbage trucks may pass through without gaining prior permission, provided that they are performing their duties. Kinmen National Park Headquarters calls on tourists to avoid driving up the mountain for their own safety.
