In order to maintain marine ecology and prevent net fishing from interfering with normal activities of birds, the Kinmen National Park Administration has teamed up with the Fourth Corps of the Special Police Seventh Headquarter, National Police Agency, the Ministry of the Interior to execute the “Detection and punishment of illegal net fishing in Cihu Special Scenery Waters” The Kinmen National Park Administration once again reminds the public to refrain from setting up nets to catch marine lives. The nets interfere with the normal activities of birds, cause competition and damage in the food chain, and alter the ecological environment. Illegal plastic rafts may even endanger the lives and properties of local residents and visitors. The administration implores everyone to care about the ecology in the Kinmen area and to make Cihu a rich ecological habitat for birds and marine lives.
