Special Exhibition of National Land Spatial Development – Embrace the Beauty of National Parks at the Nature Hall

National land spatial planning is an important topic to national sustainable development, and has gradually attracted the attention of various sectors in recent years. To let the public understand the government’s long-term efforts in national land planning and sustainable development, the National Development Council used the idle former location of the Air Force Command Headquarters to organize the “Special Exhibition of National Land Spatial Development.” The combined cafeteria was planned into the Nature Hall, which features three elements – water earth and forest under the topic nature conservation and ecotourism. The Nature Hall displays the results of national parks to foreign guests and citizens, who can experience national land ecology aesthetics under the theme “national parks and wetlands,” hoping to deepen environmental education for citizens and transform conservation concepts into action. Environmental results and objectives are displayed using multimedia, and environmental education marketing activities are held to promote the results and objectives to visitors. Taiwan’s national parks (including national nature parks) account for 8.6% of the total land area; nature reserves are divided into nature, county, culture, and marine. The nature reserves are gradually forming a robust national park conservation system for conducting conservation research, deepening environmental education, promoting ecotourism, building partnerships, and becoming aligned with international standards. The theme of the Taiwan national park Nature Hall is “ecological images of Taiwan national parks with zero pollution,” and aims to let the public understand that national parks are an example and practitioner of natural and cultural heritage conservation. There are amazing results of Taiwan national parks in the Nature Hall presented via digital media (holographic projection, 3D imaging, interactive technology, and e-books), and are combined with ecological and artistic techniques to present the beauty of Taiwan’s national parks. The exhibition will take visitors on a journey of natural, cultural and ecological resources in national parks, vividly combining environment and culture for the world to see the efforts of Taiwan’s national parks.
